How long after you come off the pill does it take for you to be fertile again?

I stopped taking the pill (Yasmin) about two months ago, I read on the box that after coming off your pill you are actually still protected until your next period, then if you don’t continue taking your pill after this period you’re completely unprotected - does anyone know if there’s any truth in that? I’m trying for a baby and I’ve had a period since I’ve been off the pill. There’s no way I’m still protected at all am I?

I got pregnant as soon as I stopped taking the pill, was also on Yasmin. I had my 7 day break and didn't start taking it on day 1, and never had another period. So I didn't even have one cycle after coming off the pill. We didn't expect it to happen that quickly and thought my period was late because my body was getting used to being off the pill, but I was actually pregnant. I would assume you're definitely not protected the first day you stop taking it.

Thank you! I’d say I’m definitely completely unprotected then, hopefully it happens for me just as quick!
