Hi Elzmum,

A contraction is strong tightening felt all around your abdomen but you had a c section previously and you require specialist input due to your baby's condition. I'd advise that you contact your hospital straight away to speak with them.

All the best

Yikes 2 hrs! I hope all goes well with baby and delivery. I didn't know I was in labor because I was expecting a lot more pain. But there will be consistent sharp pains in your stomach that shoots towards your butt. I was unable to lie or sit down, and I wanted to sleep so I went to the hospital so they could give me something. I was in labor and they admitted me. I have no idea when my water broke, it happened b4 I went to hospital. With false contractions (which for me was equal in pain) changing positions usually helps, with real ones position won't matter. I was told I would 'know', but if you have a high tolerance for pain, you may not think you are in labor. But always inquire w/ nurses/doctors responsible for your care, due to your circumstances. I wish you the best!

To be honest I think you will know! I had my contractions across my lower back but I knew. Good luck!
