A small 'Treat' for a good Neighbour.

Dear All,

What do you 'get' for a Friendly Neighbour, who you haven't 'Seen' To Talk To, for months?

Well I chose four Large cans of Carlsberg, which he much appreciated. Not, the neighbour I often Mention, Michael but Matt- from Downstairs. A Fellow Christian, a Good Natured Man, likes his Music- Mixes it too. He has put a 'Small, unobtrusive but poignant 'Memorial', to his Grandfather, alongside his Patio Doors.

I've known this, usually very Pleasant Man, since I 'moved in' - in September 2016- and we became 'Friends' almost immediately.

I Stayed around Thirty Minutes 'Chatting', well mainly Listening- or trying to.... between his Softy Spoken Voice and, the fact, that his TV was Blearing...... I finally 'found' the Remote and Turned It Down!

Nevertheless it WAS 'good' to Catch Up, a bit- even if I did 'Miss' about a quarter of what he actually said......

Yes it's good to be able to catch up with people again . There are a lot of people I'd like to see - even if it's only for a short while. I'm sure Matt enjoyed seeing you much as you enjoyed seeing him.

That's great. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. I've missed people and hugs. I'm so pleased you enjoyed seeing your friend 🎂🐱

It's quite difficult to compete with loud TV or radio background, isn't it AndrewT. Well done for finding the remote and for persevering with your chat. I'm sure your kind gift was very gratefully and happily received!

How nice for you to have a catch up with your neighbour. It really lifts your spirits to be able to socialise again albeit in a very limited way but hopefully soon we will be able to see more people more often and be able to get back to some semblance of normality 😊

Your post reminds me of my uncle. He was very deaf and struggled ,even with hearing aids.

I called one day and was greeted with a wall of sound -Skynews at volume 79 !

Found the remote and turned it down a bit.

Then we had the usual shouted conversation.

Ido miss him.
