I know this looks a little Victorian, but I am pleased with it anyway. I used watercolour, oil pastels, salt and acrylic ink, and had fun doing this. It is based on some primroses I found and photographed growing in our garden.

Very recognizable as primroses Brent. A very sweet, delicate picture. I'm glad you enjoyed painting it. How are you feeling these days? Is your pain under control?
Chrys
Hi Chrys. After a few months on morphine, and a bout of radiotherapy, my pain is now gone. I am so relieved, Life felt miserable while it was there. Getting off the morphine was a challenge, though, with much nausea, vomiting, dizziness and other goodies. Thank you for remembering and asking. I am most touched.
Beautiful, 👍😊
I'm glad to hear that the pain you were experiencing has subsided. I really like your painting. Thnxs for sharing
I like the texture here on the grey/teal background and the ridges on the leaves. How did you do that background?? 🌿.
Hi Opportunity, I put down washes of indigo, indigo + Prussian blue, and indigo + Alizarin Crimson, doing my best to get the washes to merge where they met, and then sprinkled the drying washes with some salt from a grinder bought from Aldi. I am not sure how much credit Aldi will take, but they grinder is marvellous!
Hi Brent,
This is really beautiful! The flowers are so bright and cheerful! Thank you for sharing this with everyone today. Keep it up!😀👍🌈🌺🌼🌷🌸🙏
So pretty BrentW! Loving your background which is reminiscent of raindrops and a great use of various mediums!

Don't ever give up painting . My eye went straight to the flowers . So clever as the colour was so bright but realistic and they really stood out . Does painting help you at all with pain ?
I didn't find painting to be of any use against my pain, Focused. I have never known pain like that. I hope I never do again.
There is a level of pain where nothing distracts and it hasn't happened to me often . I have only learned about distraction techniques used for children during a module of study. We know very little about it apart from research which tends to be strong drugs that can have affects different ways . I was interested in this as a student but found very little info or current projects .
I think they look elegant! I love the colorsand texture. I'm so glad you're feeling better.
