Food. A lot of us seem to be preoccupied with it at the moment. I am anyway! How and where to get it. How to stay safe whilst getting it. Trying to stay healthy during this crisis, versus giving up trying and snacking too much.
So, with that in mind I set off to look for some inspiration on the topic. It was all a bit dull and bland, but then I came across this gem from Mr Bean.
FOOD
"Food is good"
Says it all really, I suppose.π
And during this crisis I think it's very much a case, not only of liking what's available, but making your food habits about what works for you, in terms of nutritional requirements and of being as kind to yourself as you can be, whilst deprived of so many enjoyable things.
Have a great day, and enjoy whatever you are eating! π

Or as the late, great Tommy Cooper said: "I love food, I eat nothing else". π

That really is my kind of humour. Short and pithy!

Unlike Tommy himself who was extremely tall and tended to ramble a bit. LOL

Indeed he was, and did! You've reminded me how I used to think him very funny at the time...
I agree with you, food is always there, but cutting down a bit, makes a lot of difference, as we are not doing enough walking, not getting out of our house's.
Another thing we are allowed are to go to then hospital for medical needs...
A motto to live by! My mum is always saying she 'doesn't eat to live, but lives to eat' which I am very on board with. Funny how something so necessary brings such joy
Or such angst if you find yourself out of control around it! After all, someone who drinks to excess or uses illegal drugs has the option to give those up and is able to live without them. That's not possible for someone who has an eating disorder. You *have* to find other ways. (Not my own issue with food, but just something that came up in my mind when I read your post - which is a lot closer to my own position.)
That sounds like a great idea, Jerry. You're able to get the basic food you need combined with a bit of exercise going out to get it.
Love the chips and salad option. Guilt free chips! π€£
Thank you Hidden , you have it in one, we are all so preoccupied with keeping a distance, how to stay safe but maybe some of us aren't conscious of what we are eating so are snacking.
I can't get everything I want, particularly spelt flour as I make my own sourdough as I cannot tolerate even some of the GF breads because of the nuts in them. I'm being quite mindful of what I'm eating but there is the odd time where I just go 'what the hell' that'll do. It won't hurt once in a while.
Hope you've had a good day.
Hi crazyfitness, Well I sincerely hope you aren't struggling too much to get the foods you really need to stay well, never mind healthy. I'm sure it's tempting to say 'what the hell', once in a while, but do be extra careful! πΊπ·
Yup, I'd call that a win all round. Gold star for you, Jerry!
