coot mama and her weird, bald fluffy babies - I'm on the ebird sightings list, so sometimes I take what someone else has seen and go find some images to draw them. That way I'll be really focused on what to look for when I go looking myself!
Last time I saw coot babies they skittered over the small lake like cinnamon fluffballs...

Brilliant and a nice easy jigsaw too, thanks Wallowa. The chicks look really cute and the hen has an unusual forehead, I wonder what the purpose of that is. xx
I'm not sure :). The babies are almost bald, so maybe it's left from that???
