Positive Wellbeing During Self-Isolation

This may already be the high point - we'll see.

Had a couple odd symptoms this morning, so am sheltering in place and taking my temp for a couple days. As suggested, I called the clinic so I know what the next steps are. So far they haven't repeated and my temp is the usual 96.7. So all good, but staying home just to be for certain. Good to know I can pull it together to protect my friends. My next step is to go to my bank (correction - ON LINE, thanks for the catch!) and pay my horse bills ahead for a month or two. I'm pretty sure I don't have "it" but I do want to look out for my friends.

Good that you are taking care of yourself.

Do you have mobile banking? That might be an option.

Take care

Great catch. I meant to say "go to my bank online!"

Hi Wallowa, Do hope not but sensible to take what precautions you can, just in case. Hope it will be a false alarm! 🙏😊

Me too! So far, no recurrence. Will take the temp again later.

Hi Wallowa. Be careful as the incubation period can be up to fourteen days, but I'm sure you know that anyway. Hope all will be well with you, look after yourself. xx

Good reminder - I'll be taking temps every day for that period, and lying low even after my 2 day test period. Appreciate it!

You are being very sensible, It will be an anxious time for you at the moment but remember most people only experience mild symptoms. Take good care of yourself and keep hydrated. 🌼😊

Used to be a few symptoms and we we think nothing of it. Different now.

Yes, stay home and relax for a bit. Watch the horses playing in the morning after getting their breakfast, and the sun playing in the mountain tops, hopefully all will be well.

Some how I can’t imagine your area being a hot bed of virus.

Unfortunately, the town 90 miles from here had 350 cases in ten days because of a large event where no precautions were taken, and my neighbors are NOT careful. So I am!

Fingers crossed it isn't covid. Well done for doing what you should, protecting yourself as well as others. x

in reply toSheila_G

Thanks. Looking good for NOT covid - my temps are 97.6 every day, no new symptoms. Not everything is the virus, but this way I know for sure I'm not spreading it (or anything else!)

My daughter self isolated for a fortnight as her friend had it. She's healthy and fit but didn't feel well for a few days. She has found that it seems to linger a while afterwards and still has the odd off day with a night of coughing. Hopefully she will have an antibody test at some point and will then know for sure if it was COVID 19 although she herself feels confident that it was. Take care and try to smile.

Doing my best. Know all the right next steps having consulted with the clinic, but thinking this was a false alarm. Still, being safe keeps my friends safe too!

Hope you don't have it but better safe than sorry

in reply toCraftyperson

Thanks so much! Looking good so far. No more symptoms, temps are great... but will keep taking them next two weeks (and lying as low as I can too) til we're sure.

Good luck and take care of yourself 😊

Thanks! So far no symptoms and temps are down, so I'm hoping for a false alarm. Talked to my doc today by email, and she said my actions and my plan of action are good, and we're fairly sure that my precautions (mask, sanitizer in car, good soap, social distancing) are working. I am hoping to find some virtual work (maybe supporting fire fighters this summer or something like that) that will help.
