Dear all,
Today I cooked, a lovely, 'Butter Basted Chicken Beast Joint' from Iceland.... The Shop, I didn't travel to the North Pole!
Partly because I was Running Short of Spuds, but mainly because I 'fancied' a change, I did Fried Rice & Onion. The result was Superb, lovely moist chicken, with a flavourful rice compliment. (I added a small Corn On the Cob as well.) All 'washed down' with a glass of Chardonnay.
I am currently eating some Summer Fruits, drizzled with 'dark' Treacle. If you don't 'know' Dark treacle it's a more 'Pudding-y' flavour than, the regular, lighter type. More of a 'Northern England Delicacy', than were I am- in the east- it makes rather a change. I first came across it, when making Parkin- a Ginger Flapjack- from Yorkshire & Lancashire, a few years ago now.
In all a Very 'Tasty' meal, and quite easy to prepare too! Mind you I only have little chicken left after myself, and my neighbour, shared it... it says Serves Three to Four..... Oh well.
