Again, not a great deal, have had a reply about the gift card, retailer is sorry that it can't be used for grocery shopping, and they've had a lot of contact about this recently and their support team is considering this.
About an hour ago, was boiling up a kettle when it quietly went bang!!! Took out TV, radio alarm, freezer and socket where tablet was charging, possibly sockets connected to the above, got to fuse box, the switches I moved did no good, rang my sister as it was getting dark and freezer is quite full, she said it would take her about an hour to get over, went back to fuse box, next one I worked, got spare kettle out but reluctant to use same socket, but everything working now thankfully 😊☹️🌈SSAW

Listened to relaxing music, had a walk first thing, did some veg preparation for meals for the next few days.
You must have been frightened when the kettle went bang!
That happened here a while ago when the extractor fan lights tripped our electrics and we had to get a torch to sort out the fuse box as it was dark and sorted it afterwards OK.
Last night we were woken up at midnight by someone aggressively banging on the front door and I was really cross and couldn't get back to sleep so got up and had a comforting drink of mint tea and slept really well afterwards.
Listened to the cricket from Australia on the radio over the night from 11.00pm last night until 7 ish am, about 2.00 am had toast and blackcurrant seedless jam in bed ( no husband anymore to stop me doing this) suppose would call this breakfast. At 8 in the morning until middayish again cricket from Australia, as you can imagine then slept for a good 4 hours. Then rang my sister-in-law, shielding in Kent, soon will cook lunch/supper. More cricket starting at 11 tonight.
Hi Jennymary, I took a leaf out of your book today and tidied some drawers which were long overdue a sort out. I was right into the thick of it when I decided I'd had enough, but that's the wrong time to decide that. So I soldiered on to the bitter end and I'm very glad that's over with! 🤣I'm glad you've overcome your fuse problem. Not much that's worse than having no available kettle to use!
Read the news and then exercised before brunch. Had a nap after (worn out from a poor night's sleep), and missed a Zoom meeting with a graduate student at 2.00 pm. Sent e-mail with guilty apologies and rearranged for another time. Cooked shakshuka for dinner, following a little work on my microscope. After learning some Welsh, watched news videos, then showered and away to bed for an early night.
