Early in the year the rainbow became a symbol of hope in these strange times. So I thought I would create a Christmas star rainbow as a symbol of the hope we all have for a better year ahead

Beautiful.... I might 'Copy' this and put it 'Next To', the Other Rainbows That I have in my Window. Ok I AM 'at the Far end, of our Flats' but.... the people opposite, who have Union Flags up, might well see it. (so might the Maisonettes).
I won't 'Copy' it, until you give me Permission though... so may I please?

Hi Jerry, Thank you, it is glass. Early in the year I bought a kiln and took up glass fusing as a new hobby. Basically each piece was cut and arranged on a square of clear glass then placed in the kiln and fused. It has helped keep me sane as it is so absorbing, and each piece is an experiment, new skills to learn and develop. I'm attaching a photo of the cufflinks I made for my husband for Christmas, they needed a lot of different elements to come together.

That's really love very symbolic and Monday was a special allinement Jupiter in conjunction with Saturn creating the brightest star you may still see it today it's where the sun sets I'm in East Yorkshire 🌟it is the start of the age of Aquarius and as I write a strange not unusual thing has just happened I have gone all goosey and this started happening after my dad died in June 🌈xx
Thank you, I feel we all need an extra ration of hope at the moment. We are in Spain and tried to see the conjunction but either we missed it, or what we actually saw wasn't that impressive!! hard to know which. Give my love to my native Yorkshire. I miss the moors , the dales, the heritage coastline. Oh, and the fish and chips!!!! But I don't miss the weather 😀😀

Thank you, I make my pieces when I have an idea, an inspiration. This started as a Christmas star, then the rainbow idea came. Sometimes the ideas are queuing up, as at the moment. I have a really unusual new technique to try after Christmas. Believe it or not Freeze and Fuse. You freeze a mixture of glass powder and water in a mould, then tip it out and zap it in the kiln before the ice melts. I'll post the results if it works.

I have made jewellery for a long time, I have dozens of pairs but I bought the stones. making the glass is new, and yes I have made myself a pendant and necklace in similar colours.
