Cannot wait for Covid to be over ( humour)

I truly cannot wait for Covid to be over and done with, forI cannot wait for this Covid s@&t to be over so I can go back to my normal occupation of obsessively googling symptoms of all the other illnesses I haven't got.

Sometimes i wish i did'nt have the internet as it can put fear where fear never resided before.

(The picture is of the bay beneath my windows..known as ''Ladye Bay'' )

Know where you are coming from, but at least if you realise you are a hypochondriac that puts it in perspective and you can ignore whatever you find. You could easily spend hundreds of hours scaring yourself to death, finding out all sorts that does not matter, making yourself miserable and stressed, and then that would affect your health badly too. Why not concentrate on being healthier - more exercise, better diet etc instead of lots of time on making yourself worse?

i am considered quite healthy, and my diet is generally very good indeed, but i think you failed to understand that this post is very much tongue in cheek, and i never google health matters. The most healthy thing we can do is laugh loudly and always have fun and humour as watchwords. Through the most difficult times my sense of humour has always pulled me through.

And i am far from being a hypochondriac ,quite the opposite in fact.

glad to hear it - no point to looking up all your symptoms if your not one, it would take over your life and give you no time for things that are fun and worth doing.. id never get any work done if I was like that... hope you have a great christmas

Yes, the internet can be quite depressing at times and quite confusing too as you can't always believe what you read!! Lovely photo secrets and well taken - is it the Portishead Life Boat training?

I think the one thing I have learned from the past year is that most of the stuff you google on the internet for any reason is largely garbage to be taken with a large grain of salt! I am going to delete several apps that only make life worse starting with most of the news services! I keep YouTube because I watch funny videos and ones related to particular interests I have. I will of course keep health unlocked because it has been such a help and I hope it continues. We all need a positive website!

youtube is a must - but if not careful hours can disappear in one sitting, no good when you are busy

Hi secrets22, I live further south now but was brought up about 5 miles away and spent many Sundays walking on the front and down to Ladye Bay as it was our nearest seaside place. It's a nice area and relatively unspoilt. It's great your window overlooks the sea. Must be magical!

Oh gosh...its a small world, but yes i feel very lucky to live here, our house had been in my late partners family for more than 100 years, and the history is fascinating.

Such a super photo secrets22. What a beautiful bay to overlook. I know what you mean about those hours of research online which elevate your symptoms from a simple illness to a life threatening disease. So much easier to quickly scare yourself now. No hunting down a medical encyclopaedia containing only one diagnosis and opinion. Now we can find the worst possible cases of the illness we don't really have at the touch of a few keys and find others to commiserate with. No wonder our GPs roll their eyes when we confess to having consulted 'Dr Google'!

Lol! I find that everything, even a hangnail, is a symptom of cancer according to the internet.
