A New Mouse.....

Dear All,

Today, this afternoon- about four, I had to buy..... a New Mouse! The one on this Laptop, that I have had for Absolutely 'Yonks' has finally Packed Up! Acutally it's been 'on the blink', for some time- keys getting Stuck/ Locked, and so on.

I just bought a 'wired' one, for about ten pound.... no-one had the 'cheaper' one. Just plugs straight in, which can't be bad. Ok it IS a bit 'fiddly' moving it around the Laptop, especially on my Push Along- 'Nest Of Tables', on wheels, but I'll 'Cope'.

I have 'scoll' wheel, which does make scrolling easier. Anyway I'm 'back'.....

Hi Andrew,

I had to do that with my laptop, but not because it died, because with poor sight I couldn't cope with the fiddliness of it.

I don't use a laptop now, I have a tower setup again, which suits me much better.

On the down side, I also have my first Smart Phone, which I use for very little, and is the most annoying thing ever!

Cheers, Midori

Well done on the mouse I know many people who would have just gone out and bought a new laptop i have a name around here for the person to go to for computer problems and if I tell them that the built in track pad is not repairable "or the part from the maker is half the cost of a new laptop" for around a tenner they can have a mouse but lots say they are not going to bother and I can keep the old one I normaly just get a cheap wirless one and give them away to kids who cannot afford to buy one (after wiping the hard drive of personal data) they are very happy to take a repaired one home, you can get a wireless mouse for Β£8.00 with next day shipping from amazon ( I go for wireless as I have a personal hate of wires everywhere, I also prefer a trackball as they use less desktop space)

Regards Poppy Ann.

I cant control a mouse and if hand tremor is on a bad day, touch pad needs more patience and perseverance x

Welcome back and I'm so pleased your technology is up and working again.πŸ‘πŸ˜ŠπŸŒˆ

I never got used to the scroll pad on my laptop So I have always preferred a wi fi mouse which I still have. It's so easy. I just have a dinner plate tray under my mouse on the settee arm
