I baked my first loaf (cob) yesterday evening. I chose a Crusty French Cob from the internet. Easy to do but you will need a Dutch Oven or something similar. My wife and I loved it. Crusty outside and soft in the middle

Looks amazing Dallo! ππππ»ππ» I can almost smell it!ππ»ππ» Have you had some for your lunch? I bet it is delicious. My mouth is watering! I was going to say, thanks for sharing, but unfortunatley you canβt. Enjoy!!
I'd be proud of that too Dallo, it looks so inviting. I love fresh breadz, When I was young I used to collect our freshly baked bread from the Bakers each day. I loved the taste on the first day but it wasnt so good after that. How long does your bread last Dallo and does it keep its freshness?
π
First loaf I have baked so will have to surf the net and find out the best way to keep it fresh, mind you half of the loaf has gone already
Well, problem solved! Eat it all! I know I'm a bit cheeky asking but if you do have any bread left for tomorrow would you let me know how it tastes and the texture?
I'm thinking of buying a breadmaker but with health problems to be considered, it has to be worth the time and energy I put into it. Thanks Dallo.

This is the recipe I used (scroll down for the video): lifeasastrawberry.com/easy-...
Looks like a great success!
Looks delicious Dallo100, and I've just done my first loaf in a dutch pot too, funnily enough, and also with great results. I used a 'no-knead' recipe found online and it was as easy as pie. I'll be doing it a lot more often as it's great bread.π
I enjoyed it more when it had cooled down after taking it out of the oven. I will certainly try a few more bread recipes
Looking good, well done. π
