Happy Thursday all! I wish I could say it was a happier one for me - but the rain has got me feeling pretty blue today. I am looking forward to a weekend of curling up on the sofa and watching a few good films with some comforting snacks.
This week I'll share with you another Yotam Ottolenghi recipe that my husband and I love to make. This one is lamb, pistachio and rocket patties with bulgar wheat and preserved lemon covered in a sumac yoghurt dressing. Despite how fancy it sounds, it's very easy to make and takes little time! We also added a mozzarella and tomato salad because we have both been craving them recently. We made this for dinner last night and had the leftovers for lunch
You can find this recipe as well as a few of his others in this guardian article theguardian.com/lifeandstyl... if you'd like to try it out!
What else is everyone cooking this week? Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Jerry, thanks as always for sharing your meals I'm so glad you found a good use for your apples - the cake looks like it was delicious! Hope you didn't eat it all at once. Your lentils look like the perfect comfort food for a rainy day. Yum Hopefully I'll be back to my usual self by the time the sun comes out! Have a lovely weekend!
I'm in awe, SadieHU. I've been like you and a bit fed up this week and have been doing shortcuts everywhere I can when cooking. I just seem to have no inspiration or wish to spend time in the kitchen, which is sad because usually I love to cook. By contrast that meal looks and sounds absolutely delicious!
i hope you find your motivation again soon! i can totally relate though and most days wish i ordered takeaway instead of trying to cook! bring on a new week and hopefully some sunshine
