Just had a, random thought, sorry shoukd have warned you I have them from time to time, I'm going to put something on my calendar for 1 July, the day I stop shielding, just wondered if anyone had thought about doing a countdown/advent type calendar to count the days down, I haven't because I'm not great at making things x

Hi Jerry, I work in a leisure centre so it could be a bit longer, the latest I've heard from the media is October, but hopefully between July and when I go back I'll be able to go further than my local shops

Hi.

I’m not setting a date to end lock down, but then again, I dont have to return to work, being retired.

I have a face shield(as given to NHS staff) and a mask to wear underneath, if it doesn’t mist up my spectacles, when I decide to venture out, but goodness knows when that will be??

I am with you Don. I will be going out when I feel safe not when a politician tells me I can. x

I think this is a good idea. I think once you hit the half way mark the days will go really quickly. Maybe you could do something to treat yourself on that day to so you look forward to counting the days down. It will soon come around. xx

Personally I will not plan anything as I feel it is quite likely that the twelve week shielding will be extended.

Me too.

That'd be fun, wouldn't it Jennymary? And you must be really thinking about counting down the time so that, hopefully you can return to your job, which I know you've missed. I can't say I've had any bright ideas for you, but hopefully one of our members will! Take care.

Hi Jennymary

What a good idea, something I'd not thought of. It'll be something to look forward to as more businesses may be opening by then.

Stay safe and well.

Alicia 😊🌈

No Worries we’ve All had those random thoughts. Did I ever have a Count Down? YES when I was going to turn 18, my mother made Life Hell for Me. As a child about 8? Was when I started counting the years. And I did Exactly that😊. But it was short lived only because my brother and cousin committed sucide back to back. My older brother talked me into it. That was also short lived. She hadn’t changed. Sorry for going on. 🙏
