I went for my 6 monthly PSA check at our local hospital which is coping quite well with Coronavirus. They lost 29 souls yesterday. My visit was well organised and both myself and my oncology research nurse had PPE.
A bit of background.. diagnosed PSA 571, 7 major bone Mets to skull, shoulder, two ribs, pelvis and both femurs. Pelvic lymph nodes involved, plus numerous small Mets. That was 8+ years ago.
I was asked to join STAMPEDE trial, taking Abiraterone along side ADT. This was new at the time, and I was one of about eight hundred men starting this trial.
8+ years later doesn’t get any easier, expecting a rise in PSA. Anyway results are in and still immeasurable 🙂
