Happy Easter everyone,
Mixed messages.
Sometimes we forget that children don't quite get the whole picture and it's easy for this to happen over the holiday that is Easter.
We choose, according to our beliefs, to celebrate it as a part of faith, or in a secular way as a new beginning, or as a mixture of two things, with Easter eggs and family fun. Small wonder then that a small child might get utterly confused.
Today I'm just going to leave you with this delightful example, as pictured.

If you look into easter and Xmas you will see that they are pagan celebrations and not actually Christian..

I think a lot of Christian celebrations are taken from pagan festivals, something I'll teach my daughter too, I've never been.raised to.be religious but I like learning about the different religions and also think it gives people something to believe in, I feel like all religions are connected in some way
My daughter asked about it this morning so we watched a short video on the Jesus story, I always try to explain how other faiths celebrate things differently xx
Her best friend in school is Muslim so she gets confused that they don't celebrate the same things, it is confusing for them , I just always say that different countries believe different things and celebrate in different ways
