Is there anyone out there, even the most positive and busy of us, who hasn't had a feeling, from a few fleeing moments to some hours, of being completely down about our current situation? I know I have and I've generally been pretty good about taking just one day at a time, and even doing it hour by hour sometimes. It tends to happen with me if I have a sense that I'm filling time to stop feeling blue, and it can be better for me if I just rest and give in to it for a little while. I guess everyone has to find their own strategy with this. The main thing's not to let it become a permanent habit.
With that in mind, here's a word of encouragement from Eleanor Roosevelt.
'With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts'.
Quite often if we can 'sleep on it' we can waken with a new and better mood.

Yes, strong, simple words! How many times have we all been told at some time (or told somebody) "Sleep on it, youll feel better in the morning". Or... "Tomorrow is another day".
Thanks for sharing.
😀
Yes I have had episodes myself when I have felt really angry and fed up over our current situation especially when the things I had looked forward to had ended up cancelled.
Last week I ended up having a good old cry and have felt better ever since.
I am thankful though for the things that haven't been cancelled like reading and watching TV and naps but I couldnt help but feel resentful over the things I had looked forward to that have been but as one door slams shut another one opens!
I think it's normal to get episodes where you feel angry and fed up and there's something wrong if you don't!
Lovely picture. Yes I have had the odd wobbly day too. Stupid really as lockdown is pretty much life as usual for me. Be kind to yourself and we are always here to listen. Hoping you have a better day today x
Very true. In the beginning I found that I kept watching the news for updates which wasnt very helpful so in the end i just listened to the first part of the updates at 5pm before the journalists and didnt watch the news. Luckily my life hasnt changed much so I'm grateful for that but it's sad when you see and hear the impact this has had on others.
Absolutely love the photo Hidden and in answer to your question, I most certainly have felt down at times and that's why I exercise. I'll be going out shortly, particularly as the weather is changing. I'll find it harder when it's wet for sure. Exercise is my coping mechanism.
I miss my grandchildren alot but I know we need to follow the guidelines in order to get through this.
Your daily postings have been so encouraging so thank you.
Stay safe and well.

Oh I'll still be out but only if it's light rain, I won't be out if it's raining really heavily, as you say like in February. If we get days where it's like that all day I will just put some music on and make up my own routine, I do have weights so I can add them into a workout. My hubby also has a bike trainer so I'll be able to do that but not long of course because of his saddle, if you get what I mean ha ha
Ohhh Callendersgal during this pandemic its only " normal" to feel upset by all the news and challenges we face.
Your picture tells a story...after the darkness comes the dawn.
I've cried lots in the past few weeks . For me its allowed some of the hurt to wash away.
Eleanor Roosavelt is right. Another American first lady, Hillary Clinton often said its not how many times we fall down that counts ..it's how many times we get back up that matters.
You are a great inspiration and motivation to me and many on here that are very challenged by the plague and its consequences.
