It's working the other way for me, I got epilepsy aged21 forty years I've been struggling with the ignorance and fear, being virtually cut off from society, denied any work, one charity shop last year said I was too dangerous to have as a volunteer, I've been through suicide, and more, but now that there's no world to break into,, nothing to hurt me, the experiences of that isolation are helping, I'm more comfortable and relaxed than I've ever been

Cherish that feeling, snowy. That’s how you should feel all the time. It is something to always recall when in future you find yourself insecure and frightened. It is showing that you haven’t lost that strong inner sense of who you are and how special you are really. Lots of people who are afraid of being alone don’t have that inner strength that you have. Bless you xxx
Hi snowyowl2014,
I'm glad it's such a positive for you to be in isolation, but I hope that you won't withdraw from the world altogether. I do agree that for some people being alone just is more comfortable, but you do need a few contacts who can look out for you in times of trouble or illness, even though it's awkward and uncomfortable.
But meantime, I'm glad you feel at peace. For once you have the advantage over most of the world where so many people are struggling in their new confined lifestyle.
Take care and I hope you continue to feel at ease. 🙏
good for you snowyowl, I had a friend who was epileptic, he was not allowed a drivers license, so road a bike all over the place. When I was ill with my allergies I paid him to come and clean my house for me. We did other things too, went out on trips, to eat and the show. I moved out of Calif. so I lost a friend. Sorry there are so many ignorant people out there, who will judge you. Write to us we offer friendship, support and love. I am by myself, will be 78 next month, my friend died in Aug, my family is in the UK, I have two lovely cats and am quite content by myself. Cannot do my volunteer work til the virus leaves us, so I am looking at it as a long vacation, getting chores done around the house, sorting out my pots on the deck, been planting seeds, have toms. and herbs up. I have never got lonely or bored, too much to do, see and learn. I send you my heart felt good wishes, I hope we hear from you again. Sending love n hugs..Sprinkle 1.
