I would like to explain I turn to this site because I am on my own in LocK Down and triggers exacerbate my anxiety
I am aware of the bigger picture given the huge loss of life due to the Corona Virus and again this saddens me
I am aware we all have one unique set of issues that we are trying to deal with and when I feel that I am unable to cope I am grateful there is someone willing to listen
Being lonely and isolated can really play havoc with mental health

Sorry to hear your on your own and struggling with what's going on during lockdown, it's a difficult time for all of us, and as you say we all have unique sets of issues to deal with every day.
What are you doing to keep your mind and hands active and busy? I find keeping busy helps me to keep my mind off what's going on, I've been doing lots of sewing and knitting for friends, and also lots of decluttering and cleaning around my home I started with the kitchen cupboards, decluttering and removing out of date things, I get such a great sense of achievement when I've completed something and it lifts my spirits too.
I should focus my energies on trying to prepare for an exam resit and start looking for the possibility of seeking ways to find a work placement in Wills and Probate
I am easily distracted and I have an elderly mother who lives overseas so when she tells me of her worries and she repeats herself it is then I wish I was working and had a sense of independence
You can always tell us anything that is on your mind and that you want to get off your chest.
I have worries about my Nephew and Niece since I don't get to see them as I had been before before the lockdown started. I can video chat with them, but it's not the same.
If it helps, I really and truly understand how you feel. I could have written the same post myself .
I also live alone, and at times I feel positive by the sense of community and other times I feel that this is just my problem.
The best thing I can say is that the coming days , weeks and months will pass just as they would if you were living the dream or going through a global crisis.
I wish you good mental and physical strength through this x
The Lock Down and social isolation is very hard for those who live alone
I was always able to go on excursions, swimming , visiting my elderly Mother overseas and going on several holidays
It feels as if our coping mechanism has been cut off
How are you coping in this situation
I have been told I should refocus my energies in interests or housework chores which have been neglected
As you are on the internet you could see if there are any uplifting positive webinars or on line classes which are to help us to cope with the restrictions imposed on us
Yoga on line and meditation can be of help
I used to travel a great deal one of my great pleasures and I would visit the Mind Body and Spirit Exhibition and as a result of the Lock Down they gave me a few free on line classes
One was very good about using this incubation time to refocus on ourselves and to listen to our intuition
Even this Lock Down has a purpose
I honesty believe that despite the huge changes which are taking place , goodness always comes out of a crisis
It will I hope become a kinder and more accepting world
No matter the enormity of what is happening around us, it does not belittle or solve the problems we have. We still need to find ways to cope with them regardless of the terrible times we our in at present. We cannot neglect our own anxieties and fears, we still need to work through them. Bottling thing up just leads to bigger problems down the line. So when you posts, it is good because you are getting some of the stresses out. You are aware and dealing with the situations as they arise. We are here to offer support and that helps keep people positive, to know you are not alone. You are part of a caring community. xx
