Hope you are all ok and staying safe and well, we will beat this.
Exercise is my 'go to' to stay positive and I'll admit that I've needed it a fair bit lately as like a lot of others there have been times where I've struggled.
I've been to the gym a fair bit lately. I weighed myself at home and had put on just under 3 lbs so I thought I would check my stats at the gym. I was pleased to see that I've lost 2% fat and gained 2% muscle, the reason for putting on weight.
I've a little work to do round my middle but I'm definitely getting there. This is keeping me right on track. Also, the gym is reasonably quiet so perfect.

Thank you Sue. I expect we'll all end up in lockdown so I'll exercise at home, I know Zest follows a video onlineπ

Exercise is very good. I bet the lights were lovely.
Oh my goodness, you're tiny. Personally I like to be around 9 stone as I'm 5 ft 4". I'm more of a snack eater now and tend to have a banana in the morning with water, a lunch of sourdough bread, tomatoes or red peppers, vegan cheese, 15g of veggie straws and a homemade sweet potato brownie.
I'm building up strength as I noticed I'd really lost strength in my arms and legs.
Hope you have a good night.

I don't think it'll be for much longer as I think we'll be in lockdown, then it'll be working out at home. It is boring at home but when weather is good enough I'll go on powerwalks. ποΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈπΆββοΈ xx

I really do hope it's over soon KoKo, I hope it's over when you go back to work. Well done on getting on your bike, forgot to mention I have a bike so I'll be cycling as well, particularly if we are in lockdown as the roads are so quiet then. xxπ₯°ππ΄ββοΈ
That's great that you've lost 2% fat and gained 2% muscle, what a really great result! Glad you're enjoying your gym sessions, and I think you are awesome, and doing brilliantly!

Wow!! Well done you!! I will be back on my pedals tomorrow now I'm not dashing to the loo!! I use the pedals for my arms as well, burn more calories this way. I've lost just over 2 stones since cutting out sugary foods and exercising more!! Lots of love and hugs Lynne xxxx β€οΈπ

That's great Alicia lost fat and gained muscle! yes exercise is great for the mental health i miss my classes, we're in another total lockdown here in Wales but hoping to get back to it in January, have a great Christmas with your lovely family and stay safe and well, love from pamela and Little Paws xx
Yes I'm pleased about losing the fat for sure, not good to carry too much of it. It really is good for mental health. Personally I think the UK will be in total lockdown very soon and I think it needs to be the way in which the cases are rising. I do hope you get back to your classes in January. If we stop travelling from area to area then the cases will naturally drop and die away.
I hope your Christmas goes as well as it can Pamela.
Alicia and Big Paws, well that's my cat anyway as he's not small ha ha xx
So true. Let's hope people listen. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx β€οΈπ

Yes, my thoughts precisely!! I just don't understand why these people flout the rules!! We would be so much further on with everything now!! The Scientists and everyone else have worked so hard all through this pandemic. Hubby works in a prison and one of my friends lit one of her church candles for Dave which I thought was lovely. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx β€οΈπ€Άππ π²πxxxx

They aren't listening. If travel was stopped from area to area and country to country then we would be further on.
That's so lovely, what a lovely thing to do.

Continue your health journey into 2021 . Fat to muscle ratio, and BMI are great indicators of health/ fitness measurement. Muscle mass takes up less space, and is denser than fat mass, which takes up more space. I hope you looked into buying a scale that measure fat muscle, and bone weight. I believe the Weight Watchers digital scale was around $35 on sale almost 10 years ago . It still works. I haven't changed the battery. It has automatic shut off after a 10 second digital display . If it stopped working I would just buy another one. You are one of the people on this site, that keeps me motivated in working out. Happy Holidays to you , and your loved ones fitness.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I can't wait to go back to the gym which will probably be tomorrow. The machine at the gym is really good for measuring your fat, muscle and hydration, I was a little dehydrated but that was because I had just completed a tough workout.
Those scales sounds really good, I'll look for them in the UK.
Happy holidays to you as well, here's to an even fitter 2021.
It's a machine I use in the gym that measures what your body has. You stand on it with bare feet, hold metal handles and just stand very still whilst it measures. Have a look at RLN-overcomer reply to me re scales.π
β’ in reply to
Daz very interesting I never heard that before. My gym doesnβt have it. I only have the Nokia smart scale maybe it is not accurate then.
β’ in reply to
It's called a FitQuest and it's brilliant. Sounds like RLN-overcomer has a very good pair of scales. I've never owned a smart pair of scales so I'm going to look into a pair for home.ππ xx
Alicia, can you do the one hand tree pose? Iβve been struggling hard, kept falling πππ
β’ in reply to
Oh my goodness, the tree pose has got to be one of the hardest, my foot always slips down my leggings πππ
β’ in reply to
Oh the tree pose is fine with me π Do you have the nonslip socks? I find that help. The one hand stand tree pose is the one that I kept falling on my face π€£π€£π€£π€£
β’ in reply to
I didn't know you could get non slip socks, I normally have bare feet. I definitely can't do the one handed one LOLπππ€ΈββοΈ
β’ in reply to
Yes Alicia check them out on Amazon, they are like those very thin socks with little sticky balls at the bottom and they come with different designs extremely cuteπ€. If anyone can do the one hand stand, itβs you Alicia πππ€ΈββοΈ

Thank you and I will KoKo, I can see how they work, brilliant idea. Think I might have to give it a go now when I get the socks xxποΈββοΈπ€ΈββοΈππ§ββοΈππ
