As a follow up to the sourdough starter recipe ideas this is what can be made with a healthy starter.

Can’t find yeast at the store? Not a problem.

Fresh from the oven, whole wheat.

One of my friends ordered wheat berries and a small mill. Guess he had the same problem.

Nothing like a good sourdough!

I can almost taste that daveh121. It looks, and I’m sure tastes, delicious! ☀️

It’s mostly gone since our son is here also. He sure can eat a lot.

Sons do that don’t they? It’s their hollow legs! They can fit more in! But lovely that your loaf is well appreciated. 😃

I'm going to have to try and make mine like that as yours is good. I can't make it at the moment as I use spelt flour and I can't get it at the mo.

At least he also knows how to make great bread and outstanding bagels. So we take turns, share ideas and experiment.

That strange I ordered some part baked baguettes the other day and they sent me part baked sourdough baguettes. I’ve never had sourdough before and I wondered what the difference was. After looking it up it seems that it’s gentle on your stomach. I will see what it’s like and let you know.

Thanks! Hope you enjoy the flavor.

Sourdough is simply a natural yeast instead of commercial. Not that commercial is bad, just has different characteristics.

Sourdough does does change the chemistry of the bread along with flavor.

People who have some sensitivity to gluten can, now and then, tolerate eating as much sourdough as they like.
