I'm very pleased with the way in which the bread turned out today and have been so fortunate to have found a supply of spelt flour.

I shall enjoy every morsel.

When I break the fast , I have a plate of savoury snacks with a cup of tea followed by either a slice of cheesecake or an ice cream

Since Ramadan, I always make sure I have a Cheesecake in the Freezer

Yes I love it as well, no nasties in it and fermented which is good for you😊

Thank you Jerry and by travelling on my bike I'm keeping a nice stock so should be able to keep the starter going and make bread.

I've been making the white spelt flour one recently as I couldn't get the wholemeal spelt.

They have the white spelt one on their website.

Of course, here's the wholemeal version which is my main bread. I've only been able to get white spelt flour lately so I've been making that one, it's supposed to have a wholemeal starter but I didn't have the flour so mine is all white flour.

That’s Great Alicia, I’ve been scared to try making sourdough bread seems complicated? I’m diabetic I’ve read that sourdough bread is the best kind because of the way it’s made and with the ingredients. Enjoy looks Yummy 😋

That bread surely looks good. I too won't eat white flour. I will eat sprouted wheat stone ground flour, or spelt, amaranth, rye, and, or most other unprocessed ancient grain flours. I eat by a book called Bloodtype/Bodytype diet, by Joseph Christiano. Time for another interval/callistenic's workout. I thank God for you. You definitely inspire/motivate me to workout during these times of isolation/social distancing. XoXoXo

I don't eat white either but unfortunately during these difficult times I couldn't get my normal wholemeal spelt but yesterday, for the first time since early March, I managed to find some wholemeal. 😋😊 Because of IBS spelt is the only one I can tolerate but I think possibly once I've completed the low fodmap diet I may find other ancient flours that work, I certainly know I can't go anywhere near barley.

I've heard of that diet, I'll have a look at the book.

I bet it was delicious too, though I’d have mine much darker. Nevertheless, I could eat that with a block of salted butter all in one go!

It really was. I normally use wholemeal spelt but have only been able to get white until yesterday. I'll be back to wholemeal once I'm assured I can buy it regularly.😊🙏🌈
