What's anyone done today

Jennymary profile image
73 Replies

I've done the ironing and popped up to the shops for few bits, shelves were fairly well stocked and while there they had a food delivery arrive. Anyone who has been following these posts will know last week all my ornaments and bookcases etc were dusted, and I've now decided that I'm pacing myself, aren't we all, so I'm going to have one busy week, one quiet week, so next weeks task is to sort out my spare room, I have so much rubbish out there so going to get everything out clean it then put everything back

Hi Jennymary ,

It sounds like you've been really busy today. :-)

I have done some postings and sending messages during the morning and part of this afternoon. I plan to do some reading and see if I can finish: "The Things We Do For Love". :-)

I been doing cleaning.

I ironed, cooked dinner and fell asleep listening to an audio book.

I am soooo fatigued I couldn't concentrate to read a book.

That is due to health issues but actually at the moment I am loving the fact that I can isolate and have time to myself.

Tomorrow I plan to tidy my kitchen cupboards.

Are both of the books a series?📖

in reply toellj

This book's still in print elij, and still currently available from Amazon. I'm not sure what their delivery time is for books right now as they may not be a priority delivery, but if you have a Kindle or compatible ebook reader, you can have it delivered to your device in under five minutes. I must say it's on my list of desirable reads, so if you beat me to it, let me know if it's worth a read! 😊

It’s hard not to go mad and everything at once. My mum had the best idea she would do jobs all morning and then sit in the afternoon 😊

I went out on a lovely fast walk this morning, had lunch, spoke to youngest daughter, been on the computer updated my low fodmap food diary, made some GF bread and then dinner.

I cleaned up. Phoned around family members. Read and answered some post. Watched some news. Walked the dogs. xx

Cut grass, shopped, cooked, cleaned, went walking, drew a picture and watched telly.

Ironing is a swear word as far as I'm concerned..... But I nearly contemplated doing some today......for a fleeting moment.

I've been doing emails answering posts on weight loss forum as today was my weigh day. I'm a Wednesday wobble warrior!!!!!

Walked Archie got some washing done and dried.

Waiting for a bit warmer day to sweep my grass!!! No I'm not going mad I had artificial grass put down last year and it needs brushing once a month but not done it for a while cos of the winds we've had. Treated the weeds in garden and patio other day so need to get rid of those.

hairynosedwombat profile image
hairynosedwombat in reply toCraftyperson

nearly contemplated .. this is okay, but keep an eye on yourself

contemplated .. definitely vulnerable

eyed up the board and iron .. call gp for advice

made contact with the board and iron .. pack your bags and call ambulance

good luck and keep resisting. i know you can do it.

and it will give me something to do"in these difficult times", to try to remember when i last succumbed. the old memory's dropping off a bit now.

Ohhhhhh

I'm lost for words

Hi Jennymary,

I seemed to have very little time today. That was because I had a marathon conversation with my sister this morning and another with my daughter this afternoon. I did manage to turn out a roast dinner after that. My husband did all the laundry this morning and washed up after dinner,(he's such an angel), so I've been relaxing for most of the evening!

Your home is going to be sparkling when this is all over, Jennymary, whilst I shall still be promising myself a good spring-clean, and envying you for having been so industrious. 😊

Craftyperson profile image
CraftypersonReading Rabbits in reply to

He's definitely a keeper.

Tracy and I had just started the spring clean so I've got a spotless kitchen but that's as we got before she had to stop coming. We were doing a room at a time. She cleaned windows, blinds, cupboards, worktops, splash back etc. We must have known it was coming!!!!!

I am still telling myself there is plenty of time, so am practising pacing myself! Also telling myself housework will wait until it's raining. System is working so far. I am also doing several online courses (free) with Future Learn. There is a huge range to choose from.

Craftyperson profile image
CraftypersonReading Rabbits in reply toherdysheep

It's surprising how much free online stuff being given away at moment.

Like your plan my kind of plan.

Depending on how old you are you may remember a film called the secret civil servant I hope. About Quentin Crisp and he said after a couple of inches dust doesn't show anymore so needn't bother cleaning

herdysheep profile image
herdysheep in reply toCraftyperson

Dame Sybil Thorndike always said 'leave it quiescent' about dust.

What did you have tonight?

hairynosedwombat profile image

Craftyperson profile image

now what? crafty!

me, i love a bit of spinach

cooked into a quiche, or lasagne, or under an egg, or ...

not trying to be offensive or anything, but i believe in "diversity for all", including spinach.

Today was lazy. Go for a run with the dog, work in the garden, clean the chicken house, help out in the firehouse, talk on the ham radio, watch the craziness in the world.

Tomorrow I’ll go sit on a hill and watch things go by.
