I heard about this from Penny who runs the WedPm oom group and have just signed up. It's for general health not just PMR or GCA, building up a biobank of volunteers and health info to benefit future generations.

I did this, only takes about 20 minutes. Good basic health check on BMI, blood pressure and cholesterol level. They give you the results there and then. Recommend.

Plus then I think a bit of your blood sample is used for ongoing genetics testing?

I am very suspicious of any private healthcare company and especially if it is endorsed by the NHS. What controls do you have with your health data? Wes Streeting is preparing for much more privatisation of the NHS and companies like Palantir, owned by billionaire Peter Thiel and originally developed for security purposes by the CIA, are desperate to get our data. I wouldn’t trust them with my data especially as biometrics and AI are being used as a tool by authoritarian governments to control dissent.

That also occured to me and is a valid point. I decided to do it anyway as I have nothing to hide or lose but I do have two very rare diseases so my DNA might help those who follow me
