Thealip Eye Drops

greencyclist62 profile image

I was recommended by a fellow sufferer to try these eye drops for Dry Eyes. They worked really well for the last month but I am now having problems sourcing them. I have tried several pharmacies but they are not able to get them either.

I contacted the supplier, who told me they have issues with production and they won't be available until end of June at least.

I wondered if any one can recommend any other eye drops? Has anyone tried Thealoz?

I'd appreciate any guidance.

I have used Thealoz Duo and HycoSan - both recommended by optometrist. I do swap from from one to the other over time..

Both good.

Is it the same as Thealipid? You can get it from that large company named after a South American river beginning with Am!

Unfortunately, they have also run out, but thank you for replying.

Just out of interest, are we not allowed to say the company name?

You are allowed to mention name of any company as long as you aren't profiting from doing so, or it's a blatantly promotional spiel... but we can spot the difference 😊.

Some people have an issue with this particular company....and think it doesn't need any more advertising, but I guess we all know who it is anyway!

I was being careful as I was recommending the company for purchase of a product. Also thought I would add a little puzzle for everyone!! What is the name of that river in Brazil?

In my experience you have to try them yourself and find out what suits you. The last bottle I got to try caused an allergic-type reaction, puffy itchy eys after a couple of days ...

The previous ones came in a bottle with a "precision multi-dose system" as Boot puts it for their offering in the same style - which involved squeezing a thumb support to dispense the drops and I found it impossible to use without it jerking and sending the drops anywhere except in my eyes!!!

Hycosan. They do different intensities. I use Hycosan Extra. I find them very good. And the bottle lasts 6 months.
