When the pain goes.

It took nearly 7 hours today for that lovely feeling that I could conquer the world. At the garden centre I was on a high, hubby wanted some slippers from their shoe shop so I played shop assistant. I was very good at it for 5 pairs, bending and checking if they were okay. He was not happy, so by the 8th pair I was saying what’s fluffing wrong with them. I even straightened up all the shoes on the rack. Hubby said we had better go before we get chucked out. Of course I made a bee line for the pets department and we acquired a metre long squeaky snake. Making the most of the pain free moments.

Do NOT be fooled by the pred high - it is a false friend and will lead to you overdoing things and the PMR will bite back. It always does,

Did another dog walk then back for more ice and that is my lot for today. I even ignored the half price Lupins that were calling me. Now if I can still ignore the lure of reduced plants by Tuesday, time will tell.

Just beware because your body can't signal to you that its had enough. You have to learn your (new) limits and stick within them. Really better not to push the boundaries.

No! We've had the same weather except you are at the other end of the weather systems! Had 4 times as much rain so far this year as the same period last year. We'd had all May's average rainfall by the 20th, on overtime now and it is still raining and forecast to carry on all next week.

I used to live in Poole many moons ago when hubby was a RM. Loved it there.

Glad you are talking about the pred high. I seem to feel hyperactive all the time - especially if I do exercises. Last night I went out to the exercise park at 8pm and then chatted to the barman in an empty hotel bar for about an hour - very interesting but not normal for me! Do you have any suggestions about how to come down from the high and be normal?

I don't I'm afraid - I've never had it!!!! Maybe start a new thread and ask if anyone else has any suggestions.

Time - whilst your body gets acclimatised to dose… and it usually goes as you reduce. If it’s affecting you at 15mg, hope you never have to be on 60mg… my hubby had great difficulty in shutting me up at that dose. 😳

It’s funny what we take as wins in this particular game! Part of it is celebrating the doing of things that we would have discounted as being anything of note before. The other part is knowing Pred can be a bit like the friendly pixie trying to pull you into the fairy ring and make you do too much. Neither do you want to sit in an heap. Trial and error will tell.
