I’ve always had the vaccinations and boosters without major problems. Now with one month to go I need to decide whether to have the current one. I’m on pred and Leflunomide (alendronic acid and statins).

COVID booster dilemma
Think you will now see many related posts on this issue. In the end it's your personal decision. I've had all the vaccinations, think it's around eight now, and flu jabs every year and had no adverse effects at all. I did manage to catch Covid last year but it was so mild it's effects were negligible, which I'm sure was due to being well vaccinated.
Edit. Mine was the Moderna version this time round (April).
As Bcol has said, only you can decide… but if you haven’t had any issues in the past, why would you assume you will with this one - the ones on offer this time around are the Pfizer and the Spikevax [Moderna] ones.
Good luck with what you decide.
Just for info…I received a second invitation to have the jab this week! But I read it carefully, & it does say it’s from old records & you may not be as vulnerable as you were! I’m happy I had one, even paying is better than none! It was thanks to you that I used pharmadoctor & it was excellent (& in the 45 minutes journey I discovered a whole different part of Southampton!!)
Haven't been to Southampton for yonks... have know it a long time though... many a cold winter's evening spent at railway station waiting for connecting train when at college in Eastleigh .. and getting back to Andover - aged 17! Very long time ago, and before Dr Beeching decimated the railway system!
You’ve probably been there more than we have! If we go to a town it’s normally Romsey, & occasionally (like twice a year) to Salisbury! We are most often found in the depths of the forest! We do go to Southampton airport if they have a destination we fancy, & at times M&S food hall can be calling us…at EastleIgh or Hedge End. We haven’t been on a train in over ten years now! Here’s a day old donkey to cheer everybody (we saw Mum the night before, & I remarked that she’d burst if she didn’t have it soon)! Thanks, S x
I have family in Chandlers Ford which I believe is nearby. Donkey is sooooo beautiful
this is your decision, but I wouldn’t want to get Covid without having had the jab. I have had no problems after any of them other than an achey arm.
I had a short PMR flare after my second jab 3 years ago, I had a different non-PMR related problem after the bivalent booster 18 months ago. Neither stopped me having more - also had my winter booster in December 2023 and didn't even have a sore arm much less a repeat of the previous problem.
Risk Covid , risk jab? No contest.
