Moderna Vaccination

Had my vaccination last Monday never had a bad reaction before. This time I was rough until Thursday all the suspects headaches chills aches pains nausea.

Friday I started with stomach pains and diarrhoea still continues as we speak Sunday.

Think I must have picked up a bug/virus but no idea where or how.I haven't been outdoors or eaten hardly any food all week.

Any similar experience?

yes. Last year the winter vaccination affected me the same way. Exactly as you are describing. Went on for 48 hours. Horrible. Was ok after that though. Maybe give your surgery a call and book an appointment to be on the safe side. Hope you feel better soon

Yes two years ago the same as you as well as rectal bleeding. Ended up in hospital and was put on antibiotics for colon infection! Won’t ever have Moderna again. Took a week to clear. Get better soon!

I had the Moderna vaccine with no problems other than an achey arm!

just a thought…did you wear a mask (a good one!) to your vaccination? A lot of people easily catch a bug at that ‘event’ as they are carried out indoors, without much ventilation, & a large number of people passing through…a wonderful event for bugs to pass around!! Sorry you are sick….

No didn't wear a mask. Now Monday still have stomach pains diarrhea. Also general aches in back area hope it hasn't affected PMR. I have been managing on 2.5mg Pred for over a year now.

Seeing gp on Thursday re meds review.

Thx for your responses.

I also had many of the symptoms you described.I had mine on Monday mid morning, fine until 9.00pm.Reached over to pass my wife sometime and was aware my arm really hurt.By bedtime I was feeling nauseous, had chills and was burning up.Interestingly my wife remarked I was very warm while asleep but was not perspiring. This carried on until late evening Thursday although my arm was sore for another 4 days.Worse reaction I have to any covid vaccination.

I did not have a bad reaction to the Moderna vaccine - my first, but the arm was stiffer than it was all the other times, with Pfizer.

First time I've had Moderna. Very tired next day and extremely sore arm. Previous shots were no problem at all. Hope by now you're feeling better!

Only time will tell but a short term reaction to a vaccination is not unusual.
