Hi all, I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive here, but I can't see any info on vaccination against tetatus specifically for us pmr sufferers. I'm well overdue a booster but am hesitant, especially as where I live the practice is to give a combined diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus and polio jab. On the other hand, I garden a lot and I know I really should protect myself against tetanus. Do any of you have any helpful information on this subject please?
I should add I'm living in Norway, and am in my early 70s, which may have some relevance.
Many thanks

If you think something has been posted but can find it you can always use the search option -
8. USING SEARCH OPTION
1. To find one in our forum–you need to be on the Posts page - but not reading an open post.
Under PMRGCAuk banner you will then see box- Search posts on PMRGCAuk🔍. It may be in centre of screen or the right-hand side - depends on device.
Type in word/phrase you want search. Will take to new page with all results. You can then sort if you wish.
2. To find a post from all communities use the search facility in the top banner on all pages.
Then you need to filter results to select only what site you want – could be All communities, My communities or a specific one if listed [you may need to expand list]. Sort by Most Relevant or Newest, then select Done - and there you have list.
You can filter again if necessary.
If you aren’t sure about using the forum. There’s a raft of information in the FAQs under NON MEDICAL QUESTIONS -
Many thanks DorsetLady, I did try the search function but the links I've now been given didn't come up for some reasons - ah, the mysteries of the internet!
According to the link below, Norwegian Government policy is as follows:
"The Norwegian Institute of Public Health recommends that all adults get a booster dose of these vaccines every ten years. All the vaccines can be administered as a single shot."
Interestingly, "The vaccine itself costs approximately NOK 300 [about £22]. You must also pay an additional fee to have the vaccine administered, which varies from place to place."
