Noraltavet: I have been using UMARY as a pain... - PMRGCAuk

Hyaluronic acid may be useful for joint problems - but PMR doesn't actually affect joints. I suppose their claim it helps with ligament problems might fit as PMR involves inflammation of soft tissue surrounding the joints. But I had never heard of the name you quote and I don't know of anyone using it for PMR.
I was on Methotrexate for 2 years for GCA, initially to enable steroid withdrawal. I have now been off steroids 16 months and off Methotrexate for 6 months. Initially Methotrexate resulted in me experiencing severe lethargy, which lessened after fasting one day per week. It caused hair loss and severe gastro-intestinal problems, the latter improved by reduced dose of Methotrexate and daily Omeprazole. Unfortunately I did not see your original letter but have been asked by HealthUnlocked to give my experience of Methotrexate. I have not experienced the pain of PMR. For me, GCA caused two bad episodes of diplopia and several other minor eye problems. I was very fortunate as unlike other GCA sufferers these were not permanent. I am now off all GCA medication on a ‘trial run’.
I send you my very best wishes.
Never heard of this. There's a lot of stuff on the internet about this product containing diclofenic as a hidden ingredient. Just to be aware as it could cause issues. Could be why it seems to work for a lof if people.
