I've just been given this leaflet by the hospital and thought it was useful. In fact it would have been very useful when I had covid. Never mind, I've got the information now. Obviously confirm everything with your medical advisor before changing your regime as I am not a doctor.
It also shows adrenal crisis symptoms which are so like a flare-up - well that's according to one website I went on, and these included fever, shivering and feeling cold. It's a mine field out there, isn't it?
I have no idea. I did get aches and pains plus fever (before I had a massive flare up with GCA) which I assumed was PMR but now I'm thinking, it might have been adrenals as I was down to 3mg Pred. Anyway I hope the sick day leaflet will help someone.
I have never been told all of this by my asthma nurse/ GP, as I am on steroid inhalers, yet I was told and given the steroid card to carry at all times! x
