My OH was put on a 10-day course for what the doc suspected was a viral infection or a bronchial reaction to Tamsulosin. Hubby felt absolutely brilliant while taking the Pred, but since he stopped them 2 days ago, his old age aches & pains have returned. Hey ho. But so far he’s not had the return of the slight wheezing or chest pain which necessitated a visit to A&E. So 🤞on that.
Meanwhile the doc phoned tonight to discuss his last blood results. I’m now worrying as his ELF levels were raised 9.8 (7.6 - 9.8) and he’s to have a fibroscan for moderate liver fibrosis.
His serum albumin level was 32gl (35-50). Serum globulin 40gl (20-34)
But his Gamma GT was 34iuL (10-71), a huge difference since the previous test when it was 88!!
Should I be really worried? (I always worry about something). He is 78.
Thank you oh wise ones.

Tbh, today I was thinking about his aches & pains, a mirror version of PMR symptoms. he had a quick response to the Pred & his aches & pains disappeared completely. But the doc didn’t want to know about the aches & pains….he was focusing solely on what he thinks is gout and yet another doc at the surgery is confident it isn’t…
