I don't know where you read "about all trhe vitamins and supplements I should be taking" but really, other than calcium and vit D and possibly vit K2, there are no vitamins you "should" be taking. And if Dr Megan claims you do and is selling a product - I hear the cling of cash registers!
You can get all you need from a good diet so spend the money on better food. There is no evidence anywhere that supplements will make any difference in GCA.
The messaging is unclear in that on the one hand it says it’s great to combat Pred and on the other it says it works “even if you are taking low doses of Prednisone”. The claims have not been evaluated by the FDA, in small print. It carefully makes a connection with the drug taker at the outset by mentioning the body changes, something most people get upset about. I say careful because it doesn’t then claim to get rid of that but a desperate person has had the seed sown. Emotive wording like “stealing” nutrients and combative language also helps to make the consumer feel like they are doing something in a situation where they are likely feeling pretty impotent, at least at the outset. A pharmacist has spotted a market opportunity and should know better than put out this blatant marketing. Anyway, that’s just my opinion.
I’m sure it’s cheaper to buy the separate things that are essential. The cheapest and surest way to stabilise blood sugars is by not buying and eating carbs, especially refined ones.
I wish I had thought that idea up at eighty dollars a month, special offer! Do you really need MAGNESIUM, MELATONIN, NIACIN, POTASSIUM, RIBOFLAVIN, THIAMINE, VITAMIN A, VITAMIN B6, VITAMIN C, CALCIUM, VITAMIN D in addition to a nutritional diet? If you do fine, if you don’t I would just get the ones you need. Calcium with Vitamin D is recommended with steroids.
