It’s been 4 days since they rolled me In to surgery. I should be going home on Sunday.

Surgeon said everything went well. Yes the first few day have been the worst but everyone says I’m a trooper. Only one short crying jag. My husband has been the best. The staff has been excellent.

my attitude has been up 90% of the time.

I want to thank all of those who spoke encouraging words to me and all the prayers that I’ve received. Thank you! Thank you!

It’s been a big surgery and you have all made the difference!

Blessings to you!

Cindy

May I ask what you had done to your back? And where? Wishing you a speedy recovery and successful outcome!

fusion from Lumber3-S1 with a disc removed atL4-L5 and a cage and bone inserted where the disc had herniated. They also removed my two Coflex spacers at L3-4 and L4-5. L4-5 had fallen outof the space it was supposed support. Now I have two rods and eight screws plus bone grafts on each section of the spine.

Oh my! That's more than a " Fusion". It will be wonderful if your problem is fixed by this.

Good for you!! It is a big hurdle. You'll be back up and around in no time, Just don't make the mistake I made when my back surgery was such a huge success. Your back is different now so leave the heavy jobs to others. 🙂

Thanks for your advice.. I have had to be so careful for sooo long I’m sure I will continue on but I could get excited and do something I should not do 😉

Oh do keep us posted how the healing goes. I'm glad it went well! I just had both knees total knee replacement and first week was a bear each time, ugh. But I suspect you've been thru it before so know the drill. Let's hope for more mobility, less pain!
