Hospital day care operation

I wanted to let everyone know what a good result and excellent treatment I had at my local hospital Queen Elizabeth Woolwich yesterday during a Hysteroscopy under anaesthetic in the Day Care Unit. I have been on Pred for just 3years began on 15mg and am currently taking 5mg. I explained this to all doctors and nurses and they were all well informed about the medication and supporting meds and very kind and caring. It was a bit of a long stressful day for me but I came home early evening and feel good and just need rest. I hope this will give you all some encouragement and peace. Take care everyone.

Glad it went well for you, I had one a few years ago where I was given cocodamol( they usually give ibuprofen) and it was not as bad as I had thought it would be

That’s so encouraging! I should have a better idea this week about a hip replacement. I’ve had right hip replaced but I was strong & fit then. I’m concerned about my recovery this time 🤗

Hi, I was surprised how quick I recovered from the anaesthetic, but then it wasn't what is called a 'deep' anaesthetic. I hope all goes well for you - take care.
