Didn't have to wait the forecast 20 weeks I wrote about a few weeks ago. I had my X-ray last Sunday!!! I was told to expect results in 2 weeks, but they arrived today only 5 days after the appointment!
And the results..........I have very mild arthritis, which I don't think is too bad at 73½ and 4½ years on pred. I reckon the pain I experienced between May and September/October was bursitis.
All good now. 😊

Both hips and base of my back. I have had some really debilitating pain, couldn’t sleep and couldn’t get out of bed some days, but it’s eased off to bearable for now. It started in my upper body in my late forties - have had ten lots of surgery on hands, wrists, arms, shoulder and elbow - all successful! Hope you’re not suffering too much.
I'm very lucky. I don't have any pain now. As soon as physio mentioned "wear and tear" I clocked arthritis and ordered some glucosamine with chondroitin, it's recommended for dogs! So I thought it could be ok for humans. I did a bit of research and discovered many people have benefitted from it. The human tablets of course! I don't know if it's that has eased the pain or not, but I don't suffer......for now!
I know, when I first read the message thought it said mild! On second reading I saw very. Not sure what very mild is on a scale of 1-10 but I'm hoping about 2 to 3??? So not saving for an op just yet😊
You have a dream? ....but actually in my recent experiences of our NHS I have no complaints. I know I had a bit of a wait for this recent X-ray, but my bladder problem treated with all the care and speed I could've hoped for. OH just had a list of tests and investigations as he had 3 red flags ......all so far negative, and I could've told the it's his ticker....
Of course I have a dream! Both daughters work for the NHS and one grandson starts as a qualified nurse in AMU the end of January - that's 2 nurses and an ACP and 2 of them at Scabs. I'd like to think their working conditions will improve ...
