jinasc has given advice on the aspect of travelling with regards to covid precautions, but if you have GCA that puts a slightly different light on things…you say in profile not formally diagnosed, but have been give Pred. Not how much or what next steps are to be, so we cannot advise you really, you need to speak to your doctor.

There was a recent post of someone flaring with GCA who was flying from US to UK, might be wise to look at it, linked here -

I was given 50 mg prednisone for 6 days the 25 mg for 5 days and 10 every other day for 5 days.

So what are you on now? Or have you completed Pred?

What did the ER suggest was the cause of the lump? Did they suggest it might be GCA? We really aren't clear what it is you are asking as you have told us so little.

You say on your profile that you are Black African American - the incidence of GCA/PMR in Black Africans is very low though there are very rare cases.

You have told us twice what dose you were on - but that doesn't explain what the diagnosis was and what you want to know. If that was a short taper and stop taking pred - I don't understand what you want to know regarding your statement of intended travel.
