double dosed on pred

Momentary lapse in concentration has resulted in me doubling up on prednisolone (14mg) 6 hours apart today. Any advice on how to proceed gratefully received!

Just enjoy the added extra oomph you have - but not too much... or tomorrow you may feel it!... and try not to do it again, get yourself a dosette box - sort it out on a weekly basis on a quiet day, and then you'll be sure of what you've taken each day.

Thanks DorsetLady - the irony is that I’ve recently gone back to sorting my medications out on a weekly basis in order to keep me on the straight a narrow when taking pred in the small hours. I shall look forward to a turbo charge in a short while and be ready with the dog leads!

Yippee - it happens to quite a few of us. I was one of them - I did wonder why I felt so different that day till I looked in the box for my tablets the next day - empty - and I then realised I must have forgotten I had took the dose and had another. I changed the box to a one with a timer on.

Lucky you, I normally forget a dose, a much worse scenario!

I would continue as if it hadn’t happened. Do use a dosette box though. I would be lost without mine.
