This is Mary Francis in California...I just want to offer a heartfelt thanks to this entire group of amazing people. When I was diagnosed five months ago (PMR followed by GCA) I had never heard of either disease. I looked for info/support groups in California and kept coming up with PMRGCAuk...so I joined. I am so grateful for all the information and down to earth advice. Daily, I am impressed with the grace and fortitude of the writers and the kindness of the responses to the myriad problems that can crop up with these peculiar conditions. So, from California to the UK...many thanks.

That's lovely to read that you're in remission Molfosey...some of these names do make me laugh. I always use my real name now. So tell me, how long were you taking Pred and how long in remission. So heartening to read someone is actually off Pred. Do you have osteoporosis too from breaking your femur ? I do hope you remain in remission forever with no hiccups. Oh,I see you're Maureen. Good luck Maureen and you're right they are an amazing group of women that help us out with all their wealth of knowledge.
As a recent victim I echo these well expressed sentiments. This is true legacy for setting up a resource that has such benefit and to then run it in such a proactive and sympathetic fashion as a public forum is impressive. It makes everyone who joins want to add to the positive experience. No negatives.
