Covid related posts

Further to my recent post about Covid vaccinations (link below) I wanted to add some further clarification about Covid related posts.

Covid has, unsurprisingly, generated a lot of discussion on our forum over the last 18 months and while at the beginning we accommodated a lot of posts and debate around the topic in general, as the pandemic has evolved we have steered the conversations back to being related to PMR and GCA.

Please consider, if you are posting on the subject of or with a link to research relating to covid or vaccines or anything covid-related, whether it is specifically related to people with PMR and/or GCA. For example, research related to the effect of vaccine on immuno-suppressed people or specifically people on steroids would be relevant but a general report on vaccine efficacy would not be.

We will remove posts that are not relevant so that our focus can remain on PMR and GCA which is what our forum is for.

I hope that is helpful guidance. I will leave replies open in case anyone wants any further clarification or isn't sure of anything but will turn replies off in due course. If at any point you have a question about whether something you wish to post is relevant, you can always message me - I aim to reply within two working days and often much quicker.
