Hmmm... not specifically related to PMR/GCA, but it does make my blood boil, which will induce stress, which will cause a flare or minimally cause me to experience flare like symptoms. So indirectly related to PMR/GCA.

Just a suggestion. As we were all gently scolded not so long ago about becoming embroiled in a political discussion in the forum I wonder if we should all consider placing comments on Mamici's blog rather than here?
No, we were scolded by the admins. I was just trying to avoid that happening again. I hope you didn't misunderstand? And it wasn't a post I made that time, either, someone else who was upset by an American political thing, It wasn't just one of our frequent tangents within a post. More like this where the main feature is political. Please don't take offence. You know I read your blog and like it!
My comments to you were all "tongue in cheek," HeronNS, and no offence taken at all. As said, I'm always up for a good boycott!
Please don't think you ever have to explain or justify yourself to me! I'm nobody.
My Rants are just that, rants... if people read them, and they resonate, GREAT. If nobody reads them (or comments) no harm, no foul. I got it off my chest... all that matters!
Hmmmmm But whilst you are, of course, entitled to your rants, I can't for the life in me work out what Nike and burning stuff has to do with this forum?
It's all too much for me in the morning!!!!!!!! Cheers m'dear.
Nothing. Nothing at all. ...however, you had been forewarned it didn't "directly" relate to PMR/GCA and you had the choice to either read it or ignore it. Just as we all have the choice to read (or not read) about people's garden's, grandchildren, outings to the seaside and their holidays... All of which I personally and throughly enjoy by the way! ...but again not directly related to PMR/GCA. I apologise if I have upset the apple cart on this beautiful morning! Have a fabulous rest of your day!
This kind of stuff can be infuriating in such an an inequitable world and we SHOULD get annoyed about all kinds of global issues - if we don't we have probably truly 'lost' ourselves. We can't let our illnesses annihilate our politics and opinions - and our determinations to express them - well that's what I think - so good on you Melissa - people here can also choose to read your blog or not
I'm now sorry I raised the issue. But the post I remember was in fact "frozen" to prevent more replies, and eventually I think it was deleted, although I'm not completely sure. Some one else may remember the content. I think it may have been when the illegal immigrants to the US were being separated from their children, some of them only babies, at the border. But there are so many issues, it could have been something else.
Nike! Usually reasonable quality. Overpriced branding name. Typical commercial gambit!

Way overpriced, considering what they pay their child employees!!!!!

Wow! Ain't gunna get into that one Melissa! Wouldn't know the commercial link up! It can be a ruthless competitive world out there! Branding is such a load of boll----! Who can trust any so called product name now? Companies come & go. Nostalgic, once good names, are traded! Brainwashed we are from birth. Thank you! I've climbed back on my ranting horse!!

Don't really believe all the stuff about the Stones! Bad boys they were compared to the Beatles! Have to admire the publicity management of em! Big fan of their early stuff myself.
Fortunately, almost immediately, cool heads prevailed and immediately began asking those who would destroy perfectly good clothes to donate them.
It’s not about his right to protest or what he’s protesting. It’s about choosing the very moment that we display our national flag and play our national anthem (a time by the way we traditionally pay respect to our veterans and our lost treasure. We often do a flyover in missing man formation to recognize our lost and their families). No thinking person finds racism or police brutality acceptable. However, no one has the right to make paying NFL patrons a captive audience while disrespecting us.
