Hello All

It has been some time since I posted but just felt like giving an update. My last posts were about suffering from TMJ. I do believe after six months it has got somewhat better. I have arthritis in my jaw and also had a wisdom tooth taken out.

Yesterday I went to see a new Rhemy to get some questions answered. I was told I no longer have PMR even though I hurt every day. It is osteo arthritis. My blood markers are normal now so the PMR is gone. I asked if I would be considered to have an autoimmune disorder and she said NO. I also asked how long it would be before some of my strength came back from taking prednisone. She could not answer that question. It has now been eight months and I still am tired and my muscles are not like they used to be. I am grateful to be able to go about my household chores but nothing heavy any more. I just do not have the strength. I was so happy to know it was not Rhematoid and she said definitely NO. So, take a Tylenol and life goes on.

I have friends who have had PMR more than once who say it took a good year to get back to something like normal after stopping pred - and you have to bear in mind, you are older! I think it is fair to say that changes happen faster as we get older!

Thank you for your reply. I have read where it can take up to a year so hopefully there is better days on the horizon. Enjoy this day.
