it’s been a while since I posted but I read the questions, comments and answers every day. I am in awe of the patience, knowledge and understanding of the main contributors. Many many thanks.
An update from me. last October my husband and I with two friends went on one of the Santiago de Compostela walks. My third time. This time from Santiago to Finisterre (the end of the world) and on to Muxia where we enjoyed stunning scenery. We walked from between 28 - 18 kilometres a day. I honestly don’t know how I did it. I was on 2 mg of prednisone and had not long recovered from Covid. Somehow I managed it. I’m now reducing to 1mg and often feel wobbly and emotional. Adrenals I suspect. I believe that I found the confidence to even attempt the walk (my husband had said that if necessary we would just take cab or bus where necessary)from belonging to this group because I felt informed and secure that I could ask for advice wherever I was so thanks again and although it’s a bit early very best wishes to everyone for Christmas

Oh Ana, I loved reading this. My hubby and I did Astorga to Santiago de Compostela just before covid, it’s about 300km, walking much the same distances as you did each day. I absolutely loved it and am dying to do something similar again, perhaps the Portuguese Way. Good for you, you give me hope!!
How brave you are to even attempt it with PMR and close after Covid! And to succeed makes you an inspiration to us all! Thank you for sharing this success with us. I have hoped to do the Compostela also; from Pamplona. You give me back some hope.
