Forgot tablets

Uh oh! Spent weeks getting flare under control and nearly there, feeling considerably better and then I forgot to take my tablets yesterday! First time ever, because my husband usually sorts them out at breakfast and he was away early. Can’t believe I forgot. I’m still on 15mg so not sure how that will impact but I’m kicking myself.

Well if you didn’t feel too bad yesterday, hopefully nothing untoward….just a timely reminder not to let it happen again.

Maybe you should have read this - posted yesterday ironically -

Thanks for this, yes ironic. Feeling okay so far but when I taper I never feel the effects straight away, they creep up on me over a couple of days. Wouldn’t mind but yesterday was the first day I was able to restart my exercises! Only 10 minutes but still

So it will be difficult to tell if it as missing the dose or the exercise!

Get yourself a weekly dosette box and choose a day to fill it with pred - and set an alarm on your phone. Relying on someone else can be a problem as you have now seen.

Thanks yes I do have a box, my husband usually does breakfast and gets both out tablets out together- don’t know where my head was because I took the omeprazole, it was an unusual change in routine and I’ll have to be more vigilant.

As Pro says you need to be responsible for your Pred; my husband always checks if l’ve taken it (as l’ve forgotten it in the past with a change of routine) l just keep my Pill Box on my bedside cabinet so it’s easy to check & especially useful when you are tapering & on different doses each day.

Most of us have done it at least once. When I did it I seized up and was in awful pain. It did not stop me managing to do it a second time though!
