Oh Jinasc, so lovely, like its namesake. It is a good year for roses. I have 21 roses on a bush planted 30 years ago. Is it the lack of car pollution during lockdown?

Ours are more prolific than ever. We put it down to all the rain earlier in the year.Paddy

Mine too - every rose in the garden is running wild this year. Gertrude Jekyll 22 years old this year

Prunus - yes every rose in my garden is scented and over the years I now have 15 the latest addition is a Nye Bevan as the seller is donating £3.50 for every rose purchased to the NHS.

I am taking a bit of a liberty here but PMRpro has not actually seen her rose for quite some time. Promise not to post anymore. Click on the photo to enlarge.

Fantastic year for roses...all the rain I think......some petals now dropping because of more rain....but lots more buds to open....the good things in life....nature!

It's beautiful and made me smile. I love roses - has it got a perfume? To me part of a rose is the perfume.

That bud is just perfect :) You should tell them why you say it is "my" rose ;)

OK, I thought you might want me to be nice - just for once.

I sent a photo of this rose after you had been here. I could not remember the name.

Superstar - you told me, I checked it out and then found I had three superstars you, one in the front garden and one in the back. All 🌹🏵🌹 never fail me.

:) :) :)

Just been for a walk to the other end of the village and there are a load of beds with roses - all absolutely stunning. One vivid red one with a bud identical shape to the Superstar one.

Beautiful colour. I have just ordered a Silver Wedding rose (pure white) for my daughter and son-in-law's anniversary in July, they are in Scotland. Look forward to seeing them sometime this year, not seen since Oct 2019.

Our roses are performing beautifully this year also. The fragrances seem particularly strong. Lots of rain, warm weather , seems the perfect combo.Happy Solstice❣️

I am still waiting for roses here, but there is bud looking promising on my 'Peace' rose. 'Superstar' looks fabulous.

Peace in garden in full bloom - you know the story of how it came to be.

Scotland - Highlands?

Mam used to buy all her roses from Woolworths, all Scottish grown - tough as old boots nothing fazed them at all.

It is all more beautiful than I imagined....and more prolific than other years, right? I’ve read hydrangeas are going wild too. So gorgeous...xo

Roses are looking great but not the hydrangeas this year. Badly damaged here in Cornwall by the easterly winds in the spring. I’m waiting to see if we get any flower buds 🤞

Crazy, crazy weather. We had a tornado set down two nights ago. My son and his family attended a wedding in Cornwall a few years ago...it looked absolutely magical.💖
