You will have noticed I haven't posted much over the weekend - but I have read every comment! If I replied to everything I'd never stop ...
Thank you for all the nice things you said about me - I'm touched. And yes, I know I'm crackers too!
Now we are at the end of the Christmas weekend - I want to wish you all a very pleasant break from eating before New Year strikes. Let's face it, it can only improve on 2020!

Thank you for all the help, advice and support this year. Things would have been a lot harder with you you, Dorsetlady and Sheffieldjane and the forum as a whole ❤️
Thank you so much for all your information and wisdom. The 6 other people in our small village who have or have had PMR go all the way through without ANY symptoms, so it is wonderful for me to have your support! Happy new year!
Here, here to all the above comments! Your wisdom and experience concerning all things PMR is invaluable and you are a treasure to share your time with us all so readily. Thank you, Eileen and HNY!
Thank you for your help, advice and support. It is much appreciated. I wish for you and everyone on here a better 2020. I also think that being just a little bit crackers helps 🤣.
We all owe you such a lot on this journey that we’re on. Thank you so much for the time and effort that you give to this forum -it is so, so appreciated. All of this in spite of your own struggles and home circumstances. So wishing you and your hubby all the very best for 2021. 💐xx Jackie
Our older daughter has had the first jab for the vaccine - she works on a Covid ICU in Scotland - but the younger one who works on an English A&E hasn't heard anything despite being highly vulnerable. I'm just avoiding people ...
Me too (not hard when we are supposed to stay home). My son lives in SE London and has Covid 19. Feels ok after 10 days but has still tested positive. Roll on 2021 and I hope your daughter gets the vaccine pronto.
Fingers crossed your younger daughter gets her vaccination soon. A heartfelt thank you from me for your advice over the last 6+ years. You must spend hours some days at your computer. Bless you.
A big thank-you to PMRpro, her time, care and sage advice have been invaluable. A very happy and healthy( as possible) New Year to everyone on the Forum.❤️👍🙏
Thank you for your support pmr pro. My daughter who is a teacher has tested positive but no symptoms apart from a slight sore throat. Could the virus be weakening?. ...
I don't know - it is one thing that could go with this new mutation (spreads more easily while not killing off the host) but they don't have any proof of that yet. It always was the case that for some people it really is just a bad cold but you don't know which you will be. Up to a half (or more) have no symptoms at all and that is where the danger really lies when they don't stick to the distancing rules and pass it on to someone for whom it IS a risk. Same with schoolchildren, may not be bad for them but is for a teacher or gran/grandad. And some people with only minor Covid symptoms still develop long Covid. A very treacherous bug ...
Thank you very much for all your generous support. The situation would definitely be many degrees more difficult without your it. All the very best for 2021.
Thank you PMRpro, for your help knowledge and support on this forum
You're a very knowledgeable lady PMRpro and I for one have taken a lotof notice when I've read your posts.
Hope you enjoyed your Christmas Day as best you could. Certainly didn't seem the same not seeing our only child (daughter) and our grandsons. But I'm sure things will improve in 2021.
Many, many thanks for your constant support. The Season’s greetings to you and your family and let’s hope that 2021 is kinder to the world than 2020 has been . Bring on the vaccine!
The thanks go all one way toward you! No counting how many people you have helped and made laugh-which truly is the second best medicine ( after our beloved prednisone 😉).
My husband has gotten his first vaccine dose with no adverse effects!!
Thanks for all your time and help in this forum. It is appreciated by so many of us. HNY to you and let’s hope it brings us all better happiness and a continuing route to improved health.
I am relatively new to this group, but I want to let you know how grateful I am for all of you and how much you are appreciated. Looking forward to a brighter and healthier 2021!
Thank you so very much for all the information and advice to me and so many others across the pond. We're hurting here in so many ways. For those of us that believe in covid19 it is a tragedy unfolding before our eyes. Still trying to figure out the others. Makes the journey so much easier when the leader knows their stuff. Thank you for knowing your stuff and leading me through GCA. Happy 2021!
This forum has been an immense source of sound advice and support. Thank you PMRpro for all your time and knowledge that you share with us. Wishing you and your family - and all on the forum - a happy, healthy 2021.Tricia x
Its lovely to see so many people showing appreciation for all your help and advice and you so deserve every one of them. Just to add one more as I too would like to thank you for the help you have so kindly offered me when I needed it. Best Wishes for a Happy, Healthy and Safe 2021 to you and yours.
Best wishes to you and yours. I remember your first advice to me 4 years ago when I was trying to figure out how to live and work while dealing with PMR. You got me pointed in the right direction and as I followed this forum I gained valuable insight and became my own advocate rather than accepting everything that the rheumy and GP said. Also dared to fire a few along the way too! Stay well.😊
Just an aside - Currently I know of my sister, a daughter, son-inlaw, 2 nephews, 3 grandchildren and a partridge in a pear tree that have had the covid-19 so far. All good reasons so staying home and just shoveling snow here on the frozen tundra!
Just like to thank you for all your help and useful information you have shared with us all on here.I am in total awe of you with all your knowledge on PMR/GCA.
Many thanks and Very Best Wishes to you and your family for a Happy and Healthy New Year 💐
Thank you PMRpro for all your help and advice and to everyone out there. This forum is a goldmine of information and support. Here’s wishing everyone a better 2021 and beyond I’m so pleased I found this site ❤️👏👏❤️
I think everything has been said! Thank you for everything PMRpro, your advice has been most appreciated over the last two years I've been on this forum.
To mix metaphors: half-baked crackers tend to flock together. Joining others to thank-you for your dedication, knowledge wisdom and empathy. It has made a huge difference to many and to me. Enjoy the holiday break!
PMRpro you are a wealth of helpful information and we are blessed to have you on this forum, along with all those who have experienced this life of ours. May you have a healthy New Year and be able to see your loved ones soon. Thanks again for being there for us all.
Oh my goodness Im so sorry I think I managed to click unlike instead of like and I've not even started on the Sherry yet 😀. Anyway please accept my thanks for all the generous help and unfailing support you have given me and everyone else on the forum. I hope you manage to enjoy Christmas even though its going to be a very different one for you this year and I wish you all you wish for yourself in 2022.
