For the last two days I have taken my 12.5 mg enteric coated Pred at 12pm (bedtime) and felt so much better the next morning. I thought I’d cracked it! However this morning after my 3rd day I feel awful. Achy shoulders, terribly stiff fingers and wrists with a general unwell feeling. What’s going on? The only thing I can think of is I went for quite a strenuous walk yesterday. ( I walk everyday). Would this make such a dramatic difference?
I can’t understand what has happened. Do I rest and persevere with my plan or up my dose? This feels like a setback 🤔
I appreciate any advice. 😀

You could be right. Our oxygen/blood starved muscles are very unforgiving of strenuous exercise with these diseases. See if you are better after several days of rest. We need to pace our activities quite carefully.
"felt so much better the next morning. I thought I’d cracked it!"...The only thing I can think of is I went for quite a strenuous walk yesterday.
As suggested by SheffieldJane think you were too optimistic and therefore too enthusiastic.... pacing, and gentle increase in activity...that doesn't include strenuous!
Thank you for your replies.By strenuous I mean that I walked quickly up a steepish hill in the hilly park where I live. I was listening to music and walking quickly! I walk everyday and usually avoid this particular hill. I will continue to avoid it. I gave myself a break and drove to work this morning. I’m going to do the same tomorrow. Put my feet up tomorrow afternoon and be more mindful. I feel cross with myself. 😡
