Bad Flare when I thought it was over

I got down to 0 after 4 years but pain continued to grow. I was on 2 mg and my ra felt it was just osteoarthritis and said add tylenol. Big mistake I want no one to repeat. My pain was so severe I ended up in the ER for many hours on heavy drugs before it stopped my suffering. Listen to your body not the doctor.

Oh I’m so sorry Ronswife, are you back on Pred now? It sounds like an awful experience for you, how are you feeling?

I am on 8 mg and it usually wears off by evening. I am resolved to stop the inflammation and very disappointed.

The blood test was too low for the doctor to believe I was still sick.

Honestly - some doctors have a touching but misplaced faith in the numbers from the lab! Treat the PATIENT, not the numbers ...

Hope you get back on track. Thats very disappointing for you. Its a pity more doctors don't listen to us, it leaves us in a worse state, trying to get things to settle down, i know, i've been there!!

What a blow for you. Sorry you had to endure this pain. I think we have all been there whilst trying to lower the pred😢😢😢
