Hello, you’ll find a gazillion posts on this topic if you type CBD into the search box on the top right and then I suggest you select “My communities” to the the most relevant ones. Also, to the right of your post there will already be a few Related posts to get you started.
Have you tried drops of 0.5mg over a couple of months? Are these pains exactly like your PMR? Were you pain free before the drop? When you get into this low dose zone when the adrenal glands need to start working but probably aren’t, you can feel quite fluey achey and depressed too.
Hi thank you for replying x yes I was painfree before this drop and definitely the dreaded PMR pains 😪really hate the thought of having to.increase dose 😪i haven't tried CBD oil before but willing to give it a go x I work Nite duty in a Psychiatric hospital acute admission ward so need to be pain free TIA
Worth a try. Sadly autoimmune disease isn’t a great supporter of demanding working life and having worked night shifts as a nurse I have no idea how you do it. Sadly there isn’t anything that you can pop and carry on normally and I urge you to consider plan B, just in case, because there’s no short circuiting the adrenal insufficiency stage of this process, especially when mental and physical stress is a continuous presence.
Just going back to what worked before is unlikely to be enough - try adding 5mg to the dose where you flared (so 11mg) for up to a week or so before dropping back to the 7mg that worked. 10mg might be enough - you can only try. You have to clear out the accumulated inflammation that is causing the symptoms again before you will be able to manage on the dose that was only just enough before. But you shouldn't have to go back to that long term unless you leave it too long and let the symptoms get entrenched.
You were never really reducing relentlessly to zero - you were tapering to find the lowest dose that works as well as the starting dose did, and you find that by going down to the dose that is too low and going back to the previous dose that worked. That for you appears to be 7mg - a low and relatively safe dose that is about the same amount of corticosteroid as your body produces in the form of cortisol and is essential for life.
Thank you So very much I will go back up to 11mg tomorrow as I am feeling no difference on the 7mg ( i could actually sleep 22 hours out of 24 feeling soo depressed and so sore 😢😢😘😘
